At Don-Bur, we are honoured to support the Cancer My Arse! challenge and its inspiring founder, Kevin Griffiths. Kevin’s journey is one of resilience, courage, and a commitment to a cause close to all of our hearts. Diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2020, Kevin is facing Stage 4 cancer with remarkable strength and determination. His mission is one of hope—raising funds to fight cancer, support medical research, and bring awareness to a disease that touches countless lives.

A Legacy in the Cycling Community

Kevin comes from the renowned Swinnerton family, whose cycling legacy in Stoke-on-Trent spans more than a century. His great-grandparents opened Swinnerton Cycles in 1915, and since then, the family has produced world-class champions and Olympians, including Kevin’s parents, Bernadette and Phil, both of whom represented Great Britain on the international stage. The family’s commitment to cycling has inspired and supported generations of cyclists and continues to be a beacon in the cycling community.

The Cancer My Arse Challenge

Kevin’s Cancer My Arse! challenge is more than just a fundraising event—it’s a powerful call to action. This challenge invites participants to collectively ride over 238,855 miles, the distance to the moon, in a show of solidarity with those affected by cancer. The goal is to raise over £23,885, with proceeds going to Action Medical Research, Cancer Research UK, and Bowel Cancer UK. Through these efforts, Kevin aims to make a lasting impact and to contribute to life-changing cancer research.
