Longer Semi-Trailers Finally Roll Out
Today, the DfT has finally rubber-stamped the use of Longer Semi Trailers (LSTs) for general use on UK Roads. This follows their press release earlier this month suggesting that legislation would be laid on 10 May to safely roll out the vehicles from 31 May.

DfT Release Application Details For LST Trial Extension

Longer Semi Trailer Trial Update
Don-Bur has contacted the DfT again following our last update on 31st January, stating that the Longer Semi Trailer Trial would be extended to include another 1,000 LSTs and another 5 years in duration.

The government has agreed to increase the number of LSTs by an additional 1,000 and to extend the trial by 5 years. This increase will take the number of LSTs from 1,800 to approximately 2,800 over the next 12 months.
