Don-Bur Returns to the Commercial Vehicle Show in 2015

After six years of absence, Don-Bur is making a dramatic return to the Commercial Vehicle Show, bringing with them a unique exhibit that will demonstrate several brand-new innovations.

Taking pride of place on the stand will be a 13.6m long tri-axle Lifting Deck trailer that comfortably caters for 52 UK pallets; a feat that Don-Bur believes they are unique in achieving. In addition however, there are several other new and exciting features, 3 of which are undergoing patent applications and all of which Don-Bur are keeping very close to their chests.

When pressed about the details, Richard Owens, marketing manager comments "Due to the restrictions associated with Patent applications, we can't offer specifics. However, we can tell you that we will also be launching a new coupling system and showing several inventive devices that improve safety, cleanliness and mechanical operation."

Perhaps the most contentious feature launch conceded by Don-Bur is an aerodynamic system they call "Aeris". Owens concedes "Aeris is a new streamlining feature which is calculated to reduce drag by an additional 13.5%. This is a concept never before seen on articulated trailers and it's still not clear if the VCA will approve it."

Don-Bur last exhibited at the show in 2008 with one of the first Teardrop™ trailers and there is no doubt that the Teardrop™ has since become a well-respected industry brand. When asked about the delay in returning to the show, David Burton, managing director at Don-Bur said "Since the start of the recession, our business has grown beyond all expectations and we have invested heavily on production capability and development of systems. Now that the industry has recharged, we felt it was important to come back to the show 'with a bang' to re-assert ourselves as the premier body builder we have worked so hard to become."

Visitors to the show are recommended to visit Don-Bur on stand 5A50 in hall 5 from 14-16th April 2015.
