What are "Nappy" and "Kite" Load Restraint Systems?

Transverse Net Kite

“Nappy” and “kite” systems are transverse load restraints used inside trailers or rigid vehicles to stop cargo moving forward or backward during transit. They work by wrapping around the rear of the load and securing to the side raves with ratchet straps.

Each system typically uses a strong PVC or mesh sheet reinforced with webbing. Some are fixed in place; others slide along roof tracks, ideal for multi-drop deliveries.
