Don-Bur manufacture and supply high-strength transverse load restraint nets designed to prevent longitudinal (front-to-back) load shift during transit.
These nets function by wrapping around the rear of the cargo and securing tightly to the side rave using ratchet straps. This containment prevents movement under braking or acceleration, improving operational safety and protecting the load.
Transverse nets are suitable for both full-load and diminishing-load scenarios. They are especially effective in multi-drop operations, where the shape and mass of the remaining load changes between delivery points.
Each net is constructed from either solid PVC or mesh, reinforced with heavy-duty webbing for strength and durability.
Available mounting configurations:
- Roof Rail Mounted: The net is suspended from a roof-mounted rail, allowing it to slide forward or backward to suit the load position. The lower section anchors to the side rave and is tensioned via ratchet straps. Ideal for busy, dynamic loading environments.
- Fixed Rave-to-Rave: Both the top and bottom are anchored directly to the side rave and tensioned in place. This setup is suited to more static or consistent load configurations.
All transverse net systems are tailored to suit specific trailer designs and operational requirements. Whether you’re specifying for a new build or retrofitting an existing trailer, Don-Bur can provide the right solution for your operation.
When correctly applied, these systems also assist operators in meeting the load securing requirements of EN 12195-2, providing an extra layer of assurance for compliance and safety.
