Shutter Protection Panel

Shutter Protection Panel

Loads can occasionally shift during transport and settle in the narrow space between the rear shutter tracks. When this occurs, the shutter's upper lip may curl into the roof void during opening and collide with the displaced load. This can obstruct shutter movement and risk damage to both the shutter and the payload.

The Don-Bur Shutter Protection Panel is installed approximately 20mm below the underside of the shutter track. It provides a continuous, rigid barrier across the trailer width, preventing load intrusion into the shutter's operating space. With this clearance safeguarded, the shutter can retract freely and consistently.

FAQs

What does the Shutter Protection Panel protect against?

It prevents shifted loads from entering the roof void between shutter tracks, ensuring the shutter can retract without obstruction.

How far below the shutter track does the panel sit?

The panel is positioned around 20mm below the underside of the shutter track to maintain reliable clearance for shutter movement.

Does the panel require ongoing maintenance?

Maintenance requirements are minimal. As part of normal vehicle inspections, operators should visually check for damage or deformation caused by load impacts.
