Exclusive to Don-Bur, Blade panels are slim, strong and exceptionally durable — engineered to deliver maximum impact resistance, corrosion protection and long-term reliability. Their reduced 7.5 mm profile also enables improved internal width, helping to optimise cubic capacity for load efficiency.
At just 7.5 mm thick, Blade is a precision-engineered composite panel. It features a high-density HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) foam core bonded between full-hard galvanised steel skins, finished with a polyester baked-on paint that provides an ideal substrate for body colour coatings.
Constructed entirely from recyclable materials — steel and HDPE — Blade supports circular-economy principles and aligns with modern sustainability goals.
Blade panels are highly resistant to punctures, dents and corrosion. Under normal operating conditions they will not gouge or splinter like GRP-faced plywood, and the sealed plastic core prevents water absorption — eliminating rot and delamination.
The gloss-smooth steel skins maintain their shape and finish without dimpling or weather pitting, while the rigid foam core offers a superior fixing surface for internal components such as Load-Lok tracking. Unlike other composite or honeycomb systems, Blade’s structure accepts mechanical fixings with excellent retention strength.
Thanks to Don-Bur’s post-and-panel construction, any damaged Blade section can be replaced independently. This saves both time and cost compared to traditional GRP panels, which often require full-panel replacement.
